Richardson holds a BA in Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture from University of Albany. After careers in retail and finance, he began Richardson Window Works as a way to combine his skill with materials (especially wood), processes, and “making” with interest in historic preservation. He trained with Mark Bagala at Bagala Window Works in Westbrook, Maine and Alison Hardy at Window Woman of New England in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Window Preservation Alliance.

Not a DIYer? There are people near you that can do it for you. Hiring a skilled tradesperson to repair your windows fuels the economy and provides jobs.

Commitment to sustainability + local economic development

RWW helps property owners reduce their carbon footprint and dependence on fossil fuels by restoring existing windows rather than replacing them with new vinyl windows (a petrochemical product). Our 2500 ft2 shop is solar-powered.

RWW prioritizes local labor and suppliers. 90% of project costs are returned to the community by paying local workers and sourcing supplies and materials locally.
